The cities that integrate the AMOG are Arceburgo, Areado, Bom Jesus da Penha, Botelhos, Cape Verde, Conceição da Aparecida, Guaranésia, Guaxupé, Itamogi, Jacuí, Juruaia, Monte Belo, Monte Santo de Minas, Muzambinho, Nova Resende and São Pedro of the Union.
According to the AMOG, despite the advance in the vaccination of the population against Covid-19 and the reduction in the levels of hospitalization and deaths due to the disease, the proposal takes into account several aspects, such as attention to hospital rates, susceptible to impacts after New Year’s Eve parties.
The joint decision also takes into account “the sensitivity of families mourning the recent loss of their loved ones to the disease and prevents unilateral decisions from promoting flows of revelers, in addition to what has already been registered with the arrival of residents from other cities to the municipalities in this festive period”.
It was also decided the prerogative that private parties may be canceled by city halls depending on the progress of the pandemic, due to public and health interests.
In addition to them, Bandeira do Sul, Campestre, Jacutinga and Itapeva separately announced the cancellations of the parties this Friday afternoon.
